Grey County EMS is getting recognition from Canada’s Governor-General.
Paramedics Jim Jackson and Tim Sullivan as well as Manager of Quality Assurance Wendy Bieman recently received the Governor General’s Exemplary Service Medals.
The ceremony was held at the Association of Emergency Medical Services of Ontario’s annual awards gala in the Town of the Blue Mountains in September.
Retired paramedic Arthur Shay was also recognized, as well as Alvin Kaufman, posthumously.
Paramedic Paul McKay was recognized for 40 years of service.
The Governor General’s award was created in 1994, and is given to those who have served at least 20 years, by the highest standards of good conduct, industry and efficiency.
