Thirty individuals and community organizations have been nominated for the 2011 Owen Sound Cultural Awards.
There are ten categories including Literary, Visual, Media and Theatre Arts, Dance and Music.
An award will also be given to an Emerging Artist.
There are also three categories for the Cultural Pillar Awards, which include Patron, Cultural Heritage and Lifetime Achievement.
The winners will be announced during the gala awards ceremony at the Roxy Theatre in Owen Sound on Thursday, November 3rd.
The night will include a musical tribute to the 1960’s with a band and the Hit the Beat dancers.
Rob McLean will MC the event again, and last year’s music award winner Richard Knechtel will perform.
Also performing is the cast of the Sound of Music and Owen Sound Poet Laureate Kateri Akiwenzie-Damm.
Doors open at 6:30 PM with the event beginning at 7:30 PM.
