Another big donation to Tornado Relief.
Capital Power, Pattern Energy and Samsung — the Co-developers of the K2 Wind Project have partnered together and put in 50 thousand dollars each, for a total donation of 150 thousand dollars.
The money was presented to the Goderich and Area Disaster Relief Fund’s Tom Jasper at a photo op at Goderich Town Hall on Wednesday.
Sara Beasley is Public Consultation Advisor with Capital Power’s K2 Project.
She tells us the three corporate partners wanted to contribute equal amounts.
Beasley says the wind power project should be fully operational by 2014 and her group wants to be seen as good corporate citizens.
