Out of the Storm is being called a major success for Goderich.
Committee Chair Matt Hoy says over four thousand people walked through the gates this past weekend for the all-day benefit concert.
He says that’s not even including children under the age of 12 and some community members that were directly affected by the tornado who qualified for free tickets.
Hoy says they were aiming for attendance around three thousand people, but the great weather over the weekend likely pushed many more people to come see the event.
As for money raised, Hoy says they’re approaching the 100-thousand dollar mark from ticket sales, silent auction and donations.
Those dollars will be matched two-to-one by the provincial government.
