A nationally acclaimed Metis author will speak with students and parents at Owen Sound Collegiate and Vocational Institute.
David Bouchard is a children’s author, educator and presenter who is also a member of the Order of Canada.
Bouchard has received Canada-wide recognition as British Columbia’s best-selling Metis author, with more than fifty books in both English and French to his name.
The Bluewater District School Board’s Parent Involvement Council is bringing Bouchard in to speak with students in Grades 5 to 10 this afternoon.
He will then give a free talk for parents and the general public at 7 PM, with a social hour starting at 6 PM.
Bouchard will focus on the importance of literacy, and working together to strengthen communication between parents and schools.
