On of our country’s most respected television journalists will share stories of recovery and rebuilding from the August tornado in Goderich.
Anchor and Executive Editor of Global National Dawna Friesen will originate her national newscast from Arthur and St. Patrick Streets in Goderich on Monday.
Friesen says Goderich seems a natural place to be on this Thanksgiving Day.
She says while the pain of the damage caused by the storm is still fresh on many residents’ minds there is still much to be thankful for.
Friesen says there was strong reaction nationwide to the effects of the storm.
Friesen tells us people were astonished that a single storm of short duration could cause so much damage and affect so many people’s lives.
The Global National newscast will reflect the strength and resiliency of Goderich residents.
Friesen points out the stories will be of residents helping each other and the community picking up and moving forward.
Friesen invites Goderich area residents to St. Arthur and Patrick Streets to see Global National as it’s being produced.
