Provincial police in our area and across Ontario are advising us to watch how we drive on this long weekend.
A nationwide police crackdown called Operation Impact is back.
OPP say they’re targeting impaired drivers and distracted drivers until midnight Monday.
Aggressive drivers will also be pulled over.
The initiative is timed to co-incide with the OPP fall seatbelt campaign which targets seatbelt and child-restraint infractions.
This time around, social media will play a large role in Operation Impact activities.
Police will use Facebook and Twitter to update enforcement results and will invite us to join the conversation in an effort to help educate others about safe driving practices.
