Hanover Police have arrested a 19 year old Durham man for attempting to rob a bank.
On Monday around 5:25 PM, officers responded to a call at TD Canada Trust in Hanover for a possible robbery in progress.
Police say a male had jumped over the counter and inquired about money from the vault area.
The man did not get any money, and eventually left the bank on foot.
Officers arrested the man in the bank parking lot as he was getting into a vehicle.
Investigation reveals the man was working alone, and he was unarmed.
The 19 year old now faces charges of attempted robbery, mischief, and several counts of breach of probation.
