There’s a new helicopter service taking off out of the Billy Bishop Regional Airport in Owen Sound.
Along with site-seeing flights, the Great Lakes Helicopter Corporation is also offering a chartered flight service.
General Manager Joanne Leyburne says they will take you over any scenic area you wish, along with heli-fishing and golfing tours — they will even fly you into a cottage or remote destination.
Leyburne says they’re using a R44 helicopter which seats three passengers and it’s just 275 dollars total for a 20 minute site seeing tour.
The Great Lake Helicopter Corporation mainly does helicopter flight training out of the Waterloo Regional Airport.
Leyburne says they won’t be offering that service out of Owen Sound yet, but she says it’s a definite possibility in the future.
The helicopter rides at the Billy Bishop Regional Airport began yesterday.
