There was another court appearance today for an Owen Sound woman charged with second degree murder.
46 year old Erin Lees appeared in Owen Sound court via a video link from her Brampton cell.
The appearance was to set a date for a bail hearing.
However Lees Lawyer, Hedley Thompson, requested an adjournment until October the 11th to set a date to make a bail application in the Superior Court of Justice.
Lees was charged after her common law husband died September 10th of his injuries at their home on 4th Avenue East.
34 year old Gary Fernando Caribou was pronounced dead in hospital.
Owen Sound Police and the OPP still have not released details about the case.
Inspector Vince Wurfel says the cause of death is considered evidence.
It’s the first murder case in Owen Sound in more than five years.
The last homicide in Owen Sound was in July of 2006, when James Morelli was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to five years in prison in connection with the death of Larry Hilsden.
