The Conservative candidate in Bruce Grey Owen Sound is taking exception to the implied endorsement of the Liberals, by Mayor Deb Haswell.
The Mayor says she isn’t endorsing anyone, but she endorses the McGuinty pledge to upload courtroom security costs.
On the CFOS Open Line on Friday — Bill Walker pointed to a number of other issues Mayor Haswell should consider.
For example — Walker says the Liberals are to blame for the HST on heating costs, as well as bringing in SMART meters for electricity putting even more pressure on a family budget.
Walker also points to the Health tax that Dalton McGuinty brought in as an added expense for residents.
As far as courtroom security costs which the Liberals have promised to upload, Walker says the Conservatives have a better idea.
Walker tells Bayshore Broadcasting News there should be a surcharge on people convicted of crimes that would cover those costs.
