Tim Horton’s in Owen Sound, Port Elgin and Southampton are helping the hospital foundations at Grey Bruce Health Services again, through its annual “Smile Cookie” fundraiser.
While supplies last — you can buy a special smiling chocolate chip cookie for one dollar plus taxes and all proceeds will be donated to hospital foundations in Owen Sound and Southampton.
This year, the funds raised will support paediatric care.
Tim Horton’s restaurant owner Fay Harshman says she is thrilled to help bring smiles to young patients, and says the success of the program depends on the generosity of her clients.
It is the 4th year of the fundraiser — and the participating Tm Horton’s have raised more than 16 thousand 700 dollars for the hospital foundations.
Last year, the proceeds helped purchase eight special “sleeper chairs” for the paediatric unit to enable parents to room-in with their child during a hospital stay.
