There is the return of Air Charter Services by Brucelandair International to Wiarton Keppel airport.
Bruce Grey Owen Sound MP Larry Miller was on hand Wednesday for a special ceremony marking the return of the service.
Brucelandair Charter Operations Pilot Brian Irvine says the addition of a dedicated Air Charter plane to their fleet of aircraft will provide businesses and individuals with a cost effective way to travel.
The company has been providing aviation services for over 25 years from Wiarton — but Air Charter services on a daily basis will be new to the area.
A Piper Navajo that seats eight in executive comfort at over 300 kilometres per hour can fly over five hours.
Irvine says the new service means executives can leave at 7 AM and be in downtown Ottawa by 9 AM, have six hours of meetings and be home by 5 PM.
The cost of chartering a plane for six people to Ottawa would be roughly three thousand dollars in total.
However, Brucelandair will fly wherever the customer wants to go in Canada or the U.S.
The new Air Charter service is creating a handful of new jobs with the company.
