An OPP officer had to be treated in hospital for non-life threatening injuries after his cruiser was hit broadside at Springmount, just west of Owen Sound.
The crash happened at 4 PM on Sunday at the intersection of Highways 6 and 21 and at Grey Road 18.
Grey County OPP say the officer was responding to a call and had his lights activated.
The officer stopped at a red light at the corner and then moved thru the red light going north of Highway 6.
A 2008 Buick heading westbound on Highway 21 collided with the OPP cruiser.
The Inter-Township Fire Department and Grey County EMS attended the scene.
The officer was transported to the Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre in Owen Sound with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Buick, a 68 year old man and a 66 year old female passenger from Kincardine, were not injured as a result of the collision.
Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.
Grey County OPP are continuing with their investigation into the collision.
