The 2011 Relay for Life in Hanover brought in over 58 thousand dollars.
It was held Friday night into Saturday, and Chair Nancy Mellish says about 200 people participated.
The Hanover Racetrack was aglow with candles for the event.
Mellish says the night is about remembering those we’ve lost to cancer, celebrating those who have survived cancer and fighting back through research and treatment to eradicate cancer.
Over the last six years — the Hanover Relay for Life event has raised just over 760 thousand dollars.
Mellish says every dollar counts.
Another Relay for Life will be held in Owen Sound on Friday night.
