Students were greeted by picket lines as they arrived at Georgian College and other Ontario colleges on Monday in the midst of a strike by support workers.
But the striking workers didn’t have a major impact on students at the Owen Sound campus.
Many of the students we talked to said registering was quick and easy.
The majority of students said despite a bit of a line-up, getting books was no real issue.
The only problem the students we spoke to faced was getting a parking pass, and then finding a spot.
One first year student said the only problem he had was waking up this morning.
The registration desks and financial aid offices were staffed by other employees today as the support staff walk the picket line.
Workers walking the picket line outside of the Georgian College Campus in Owen Sound refused comment to Bayshore Broadcasting News.
They preferred we spoke to Union head office.
