A new owner for the Owen Sound Golf and Country Club should be revealed later this month.
BDO Canada Senior Vice President Bill Courage tells Bayshore Broadcasting News bids closed on Friday and he will now be consulting with the stakeholders involved in the sale process.
After talking with the stakeholders, Courage says BDO will talk with the successful bidder and they will go to court as part of the receivership process.
Courage declined to say whether the course will be held by local people, or whether the plan is to continue running it as a Golf course.
He says details on the new owner and plans for the property will be revealed when the receiver takes the bid to court in a few weeks.
The 91 year old golf club went bankrupt in July with 1.1 million dollars owed to the Bank of Montreal.
The volunteer board of directors reigned at that time and the course went into receivership.
