The tornado in Goderich is having a major impact on the judicial system.
Many court services are moving out of town temporarily.
Because of damage inflicted by Sunday’s storm — the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice and Court Counter services in Goderich are being moved to Walkerton.
Staff from the Victim-Witness Assistance Program are being relocated to Stratford.
And the Provincial Offences Court will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion branch in Exeter.
The province says it’s working as quickly as it can to get the Goderich Courthouse serviceable again.
For further information you can call the Walkerton Courthouse at 519-881-2333.
And to reach the Victim-Witness Assistance office call 519-271-5221.
