The second edition of OTHERfolk is proving there’s two must attend folk festivals in Owen Sound.
The second annual OTHERfolk festival in downtown Owen Sound showcased 50 performers at 16 venues on Thursday night — including a night market at the Owen Sound Farmer’s Market, classical music and art exhibit’s at the Tom Thompson Art Gallery.
Organizer Josh Richardson of Mudtown Records was excited to see each venue busting with activity.
He pointed out the large amount of people walking around downtown with wrists bands on.
Richardson says feedback has been nothing but positive so far.
Festival goers Mike and Jen were back for a second year and say the crowd and venue size from last year’s event easily doubled in size.
Artist Kyle Haight used the street as a window for his work and said the festival was very vendor friendly.
