A bit of a scare for South Bruce OPP officers.
They had to call the West Region OPP Explosives Unit last Friday to dispose of a blasting cap that had been turned in for destruction.
EDU officers successfully destroyed the blasting caps without incident.
Police are reminding residents to call them for explosives disposal or for any suspicious packages that are observed.
Explosive devices should only be handled by trained personnel.
