Owen Sound Council wants to hear your ideas on what should go along the waterfront.
Owen Sound Economic Development and Tourism Manager Steve Furness says they have hired MHBC Consultants for a design charrette that will promote development ideas and generate interest in the harbourfront.
Furness says part of the process is figuring out what a building would look like on a waterfront site, and he wants all the private landowners involved to participate in the fact-finding project.
He says there is some momentum now along the harbour, with the recent completion of the Health Unit on the east side, and construction well underway on a new Health clinic on the west side.
Furness wants to keep that momentum going.
He says you might see condos, hotels or more industrial use along the waterfront, adding it is all about getting ideas and marketing the city.
At least two public meetings will be held by the Consulting team.
No dates have been set for those meetings.
