This weekend is Sauble Sandfest weekend.
It’s part of the Sauble Beach 24 Weeks of Summer celebration.
Today is the start of the Festival with a very impressive lineup of musical talent, a sandcastle building clinic and more.
Lindsay Thompson is part of Festivals and Events for the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.
She notes the free festivities start Friday with the Kids Sandcastle Building Clinic at 3 PM.
The music kicks off at 6 PM with featured performers — including Chris Medhurst and the Killin’ Time Band, followed by 54-40.
On Saturday — the Sandcastle building competition kicks off with a major car show and more music by Frankie D and the Dreamers, the Peter Irwin Elvis Show and John Morello.
Saturday night also features a Kids PJ Party with all kinds of free activities for the kids — including a penny carnival, a Family Movie Night, a Smores and Spider Dog cookout.
The events continue at 11 AM on Sunday with more events and country music concerts featuring Jamie Warren, Tommy Gilham and more all day long.
Thompson notes there are also volleyball and bocce ball tournaments on Sunday.
