The heat has not led to any serious illnesses among residents in Grey Bruce.

Epidemiologist Alanna Leffley tells Bayshore Broadcasting News there have been no unusual spikes.
Leffley was specifically monitoring asthma and respiratory illnesses — and has seen nothing to indicate anything outside of the norm.
Leffley notes we did have good quality air and there were no smog alerts — so that is a positive factor in keeping the number of illnesses down.
