You may hear more loud booming noises today.
That’s because there is a large artillery exercise taking place this week at the Meaford Land Forces Central Area Training Centre.
The sound can be heard from as far away as Sauble Beach to the west and Penetanguishene to the east, depending on the weather.
The exercise started on Monday and will end today.
It’s similar to the sounds that many heard during the first exercise at the Meaford base last month.
There is another large artillery operation planned for next month (August 15-18).
