There’s more construction work in Owen Sound.
A section of the 6th Street East hill — also known as Grey Road 5 — will be closed to traffic for five weeks for road work.
The work on 6th Street begins this week between 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue East.
E-C King Contracting has been awarded the 350 thousand dollar project.
It includes the replacement of storm and sanitary sewers — they will be separated to eliminate stormwater entering the City’s sanitary sewer collection system and waste water treatment plant.
The road, curb, gutters and sidewalks will also be replaced.
There is also road work in Owen Sound infront of the new Regional Rec Centre and the work is also set to begin at the intersection at 10th Street and 9th Avenue East.
