Bruce Peninsula OPP are keeping busy.
Since July 13th — they have responded to 143 calls for service.
One of which lead to a 21 year old man’s bail hearing set for today.
Police say the man from Brampton failed to stop for police just before 4 PM Saturday when they observed him speeding northbound on Sauble Falls Parkway.
At one point – the suspect’s driving even forced an oncoming vehicle off the road.
Luckily no one was hurt – not even the three passengers the man had with him.
Eventually OPP pulled in front of the man’s vehicle – forcing him to stop – since he allegedly ignored their sirens and lights.
It was then it was determined the man had been drinking.
Police administered a roadside breath test, which the man failed.
He’s faces several charges including Dangerous Driving, Driving Over the Legal Limit and Breach of a Court Order along with Driving with Open Liquor, Driving While Using a Hand Held Device, Driving Under Suspension and Being a G2 Driver with a B.A.C. above zero.
The vehicle involved was towed by police from the scene.
