The Hanover and District Hospital is 21 thousand dollars richer thanks to the Hospital Auxiliary.
The money is being used to purchase four IV pumps and stands for the nursing and dialysis units as well as a wheelchair scale with AC capability.
Auxiliary President Carol Dey says the money was raised in different forms — through the hospital gift shop and their bazaar, quilt draws and bake sales.
Dey says the donation is the result of a lot of hard work and volunteer hours.
The Hanover Hospital Auxiliary boasts a membership of 115 people.
These Auxiliary members volunteer in the Gift Shop, serve as greeters in the Hospital and also assist with the weekly Obstetrics Clinic.
Dey says they are always looking for new volunteers.
She challenges anyone with an interest in serving their hospital to come out and become a part of the Auxiliary — men as well as women.
Dey calls it a rewarding and satisfying experience.
