It’s voting day for support workers at Georgian College and other Ontario colleges.
Thousands of OPSEU members are voting on whether to give their union a strike mandate just before school starts.
The contract with the province’s 24 community colleges expires at the end of August.
That’s about a week before 200 thousand students return to classes.
Support workers include everyone from computer support staff to janitors to lab technicians.
