A property in Owen Sound was again the site of a search for clues in a cold case dating back to 1988.
The OPP Cold Case and Criminal Investigative Branch was at a property on 3rd Avenue East for a fourth time on Wednesday as they continue to investigate the disappearance of Lisa Maas.
Detective Inspector Ian Maule tells Bayshore Broadcasting News they were following up on some interesting clues they found during their 3 other visits last fall.
But Maule says they did not find any concrete evidence yesterday that leads them to believe there’s more reason to search the property — so he doubts they will be back.
For now, Maule says his team will continue to follow-up on tips they received in the case.
And while Police have a suspect in mind — he says they can’t prove their suspicions without a body or some kind of evidence.
Lisa Leona Maas was 22 and five months pregnant when she was last seen leaving the home of a male friend in Woodford in July 1988.
There’s still a 50 thousand dollar reward for any tips that lead to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible.
