Two people escaped a house fire in Owen Sound.
The City’s fire department was called to a home on 7th Avenue East just before 8 PM on Sunday.
Firefighters were able to contain the flames in the kitchen but there was smoke damage through out the home.
Damage is pegged at close to 50 thousand dollars.
Fire officials believe the cause was a candle in the kitchen.
