A body has been pulled from the Sydenham River in Owen Sound.
Police, fire and ambulance were dispatched to the scene near the 8th Street East bridge behind Greyfair just before 7:30 AM on Monday.
Sergeant Ted Kitto confirms with Bayshore Broadcasting News the body of an elderly man was pulled from the river near the stairs just south of the bridge.
No name has been released yet.
Police say foul play is not suspected — but the investigation continues.
The coroner’s office is assisting in the investigation.
