The annual Summer Concert Series in Owen Sound is in its 18th year.
Organizer Joachim Ostertag says once again the series goes in Owen Sound every Wednesday in July and August from Noon to 1 PM — and it starts today.
However, Ostertag says the location changed this year from the previous Tom Thomson Art Gallery location to the Division Street United Church — at 10th Street and 4th Avenue East.
Ostertag says the the United Church is well known for its excellent acoustics and renovated performance stage.
Again this year Ostertag says the series features musicians from traditional folk to classical and jazz.
The line-up this year features local musicians and other musicians who are coming full-circle – following careers outside of the region.
Ostertag says those musicians who go on to successful careers often come back during the summer and play the concert series.
