A fire just outside of Owen Sound is being investigated as arson.
The fire took place early Saturday morning at a home on 4th Avenue Southwest in Georgian Bluffs.
The home owners — both in their 80’s — were awakened by a banging noise inside the residence and smelled smoke which triggered the fire alarm.
They immediately called 9-1-1 and the Inter-Township Fire Department arrived and cleared smoke caused by melted foam board in the basement.
No one was hurt.
Grey County OPP and the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office are investigating the cause.
