Summer vacation time is upon us and that means summer camps are beginning to open this week.
One option for the kids is eight weeks of adventures, exploring and learning fun at Grey Roots Museum and Archives.
Summer KidsCamp begins July 4th at Grey Roots and runs until August the 26th.
If you’re just visiting the area, Coordinator Christian Camp says they offer single day registration as well.
Camp says there’s a new theme each week with a trip planned, including visits to local natural landmarks – like the many waterfalls in the area.
Some of the themes include digging up “Dinosaurs and Fossils” and ” a week in the life of a Mayan.”
Each camp runs Monday through Friday from 9 AM until 4:30 PM.
For more details on pricing and theme days visit www.greyroots.com
And if you’re too old for camp how about earning credits towards your required high school community service hours as Camp says they’re looking for volunteers aged 14 and older.
