Hanover is brimming with patriotic pride today for Canada Day.
The celebration takes place at Heritage Square across from the Civic Centre from 11:30 AM to 3 PM.
Hanover Mayor Kathi Maskell encourages everyone to come out and join in the festivities because there is something for everyone.
Some of the events include face painting, bingo, a celebrity sponge throw, hockey shootout, cookie decorating and crafts.
Crissy the Clown will also be on hand to entertain youngsters.
For the adults — there will be two stages of entertainment featuring a variety of acts.
There will also be an interactive Native drumming session, baton twirling and kung fu demonstrations as well as watermelon eating contest.
The Kinsmen are also hosting a BBQ.
The Hanover Fire Department will also showcase its brand new 78 foot Ariel Quint Fire Truck, worth about 750 thousand dollars.
