We’ve been getting listener reports of a loud booming noise coming from the Bruce Power site near Tiverton.
Bruce Power Manager of Investor and Media Relations John Peevers has been flagging calls about it too.
He says Hydro One started doing some construction work near the Bruce B switchyard last week and the work will continue into July.
The sound people are hearing is an explosive device going off while Hydro One connects wire for their Bruce to Milton Transmission Line project.
Peevers says at the site, it sounds like a cannon is going off.
Hydro One says the work will be complete on Monday July 11th.
The final conductor stringing on Bruce Power lands will be from Bruce Junction eastward past the B-line. Hydro One says it starts in late July/early August.
