You may have noticed some protesters on the streets of Owen Sound over the last week.
Spokesperson for the Voices of the Innocent Families of Ontario, Zain Sherwood, came from Hanover to show his support for the Victorious Living Centre.
Its’ soup kitchen was closed at the end of May.
Pastor Randy Kennedy told Bayshore Broadcasting news at the time, it was too expensive to run and none of the major churches in the city were offering help.
The kitchen was also closed because of new rules, which Kennedy said made it tougher to run on a shoe-string budget.
Sherwood was among some 30 protesters at the four corners in Owen Sound on Friday.
He urges the public to show their support for the homeless, by encouraging the main stream churches to donate to the VLC.
Sherwood says it is now more than 18 days without food or water for the homeless in the Scenic City.
