It wasn’t warmest weekend on record in June, but that didn’t stop a number of area residents from celebrating.
Over the weekend South Bruce OPP laid five Liquor Licence Act charges.
The first charge came Friday around 9 PM when OPP say they spotted a woman walking along Sunset Avenue in Huron township with an open bottle of alcohol.
The 55 year old woman is charged with having liquor in an open container.
On Saturday about 1:30 AM — a man was found sleeping in the ditch on Broadway street in Kicnardine. The 19 year old from Listowel is charged with being drunk in a public place.
Then Saturday night, a 22 year old Kincardine man was spotted walking along Lambton street with open alcohol.
On Sunday about 2 AM — South Bruce OPP stopped a vehicle and charged the two 22 year old men from Huron Township with having booze in their car.
And Sunday about 9 AM — police were called to a home on Durham street in Kincardine about a man sleeping in the back of a mini-van.
A 24 year old Kincardine man is charged with Intoxicated in a public place.
