Kincardine Councillors spent close to an hour discussing the condition of the toilets at the Kincardine Centre for the Arts.
One of ten directors of the Victoria Park Gallery, Annette MacDonald says the condition of the washrooms in the restored Kincardine Centrefor the Arts are near deplorable and the stink is unbearable.
MacDonald was before council calling for a major renovation of the facilities.
She says Victoria Park Gallery receives daily complaints from citizens and tourists alike about the poor condition of what really are the only public bathrooms in downtown Kincardine.
She was backed up by Kincardine councillor Jacqueline Faubert who went to the facilities and took pictures for a bit of show and tell for councillors.
Faubert agrees the conditions are deplorable and said it was unfortunate the photos could give the sense of odour.
Council agreed to do a quick fix on the can with a thorough clean up and paint job, hopefully by July 1st.
Staff will return with a long-term plan to renovate the washrooms at a cost of around 25 thousand dollars further down the road.
