The Official Grand Opening of the McQuay Tannery Seniors Resource Centre will take place today.
The Resource Centre is also a part of the Doors Open Owen Sound program this weekend.
The new centre, located right beside the Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound, was provided by the City of Owen Sound.
A group of volunteers lead by the Bluewater Association of Lifelong Learning and the Bayshore Friendship Club have been working to get the centre ready, and will run the centre now that it’s open.
For the grand opening day, the centre is looking for any memorabilia or pictures of the McQuay Tanning Company to put on display.
You can contact the centre if you have anything to contribute, and the items will be returned after today.
The official grand opening takes place at 2 PM today.
The Seniors Centre will be open from 10 AM to 4 PM on Monday to Friday.
