It appears Grey County drivers are following new laws about distracted driving.
Last week, OPP across the province launched a Distracted Driving Campaign, and blitzed roadways for drivers using cell phones or other electronics while driving.
Over the week, Grey County OPP issued a total of 18 charges for using a hand-held communications or entertainment device while driving.
Across the province, almost 15-hundred drivers were charged with using a cell phone.
Another 100 or so were charged for using other entertainment devices, having an DVD screen visible to the driver, or for careless driving.
Police say the highest concentration of violations were found in the Greater Toronto Area.
