Grey County OPP the theft of roof trusses from a Chatsworth Township building site near Mooresburg.
The theft was reported on Wednesda by the owner but it is believed to have happened about a week earlier.
The building site is located at the intersection of Side Road 8 and Grey Road 3, which has considerable traffic.
OPP Constable Steve Starr says due to the size and weight of the materials stolen a truck or heavy trailer would have been used.
The stolen building materials included a quantity of 24 foot (span) engineered roof trusses, some pressure treated posts and other lumber .
The estimated value of the stolen building materials is between four and five thousand dollars.
Meanwhile, Grey County OPP continue to investigate the theft of a large propane tank (10 feet long, cigar shaped) from a residence a few kilometres away.
Itwas full of propane and in service at a residence when stolen and the lines ripped from the house.
As in this case, Constable Starr say a truck or trailer and some sort of loading device would have been required so the thefts may be related.
