Aid efforts are underway to help those who lost their homes in the fire on Owen Sound’s east side.
Fourteen people lost their apartments after an early morning fire ripped through a building on Wednesday morning at 6th Street East and 7th Avenue East.
The United Way of Bruce-Grey is working with several community agencies to connect victims with resources.
Executive Director Francesca Dobbyn says the Red Cross is still working with victims to find out what they may need.
She says if you have anything to donate, you can call 2-1-1 to find out what the list of items includes.
Dobbyn says most victims are not yet ready to start taking in things like furniture and kitchen items, but there are some urgent needs like clothing and baby items.
The United Way is also taking financial donations for the victims.
There are accounts set up at the Meridian Credit Union branches and TD Canada Trust.
Dobbyn says there are also plans for a concert and BBQ fundraiser in the works — but more details will be released at a later date.
