Grey County OPP are investigating an unusual theft from a home just northeast of Scone.
Someone stole a 10 foot long, “Sparling Propane” tank between May 10th and 13th.
The home is on Concession 12, just north of Grey Road 25.
OPP Constable Steve Starr says the white cigar shaped propane tank has a blue lid on it.
It was lifted and loaded onto some sort of truck or trailer and the lines were ripped from the home in the process.
Grey County OPP say the home owner noitced the tank was missing after the fireplace wouldn’t start.
The tank — valued at approximately 12 hundred dollars — was recently filled with propane and would be very heavy.
Anyone with information that might assist is asked to contact Grey County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
