Wifi service will be in the Davidson Centre in Kincardine sometime this summer.
Kincardine Council has taken the Bruce County Rural Connections Broadband Program up on its offer and will allow the free service in the facility.
Chair of the Building and Planning Committee, Councillor Maureen Couture says Bruce Telecom has given its blessing to the municipality to go ahead with the plan.
Kincardine is a major investor in Bruce Telecom.
Couture says the service should be up and running this summer.
But with the Wifi service comes with responsibility.
Councillor Jacqueline Faubert reminds parents, guardians and supervisors that it’s very difficult to rely on any kind of control on the Internet through hotspots that use Wifi.
Faubert says it will be up to adults to speak to their children about the safety issues that could be compromised, using the Internet.
