Bruce County residents can get rid of their hazardous waste again today.
The Bruce County garage in Walkerton will be open from 9 AM to 2 PM today for the County Household Hazardous and Special Waste Day.
You can get rid of materials such as batteries, oven cleaners, pesticides and propane tanks.
Hazardous materials can be spotted by their labels. They will say either corrosive, toxic, reactive or flammable.
Improper disposal into drains, sewers, backyards or landfills endangers public health and contaminates water supplies and other natural resources.
More dates are scheduled in other Bruce County municipalities this Spring and Summer.
