A public policy think tank is out with its report card that ranks the accomplishments of Ontario high schools.
Chesley District had the highest ranking of any local school — the rural high school ranked 4th in the province with a score of 9.1.
Chesley District is one of the schools facing possible closure as part of the review by the Bluewater public school board.
There is another ARC meeting in Hanover tonight.
The Fraser Institute issues the ratings to give parents a picture of the success at schools in their own community.
The think tank also reports the percentage of secondary school exams scoring below the Ontario average dropped over the past five years to 26.9 per cent from 29.3 per cent.
