A young Hanover woman is in Los Angeles to take part in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.
18 year old Megan Schlorff is one of 20 people on Team Canada who will be involved in the competition from May 8th to the 13th.
John Twelves is the Chair of the Bluewater Regional Science and Technology Fair Committee.
He tells Bayshore Broadcasting News the Fair involves about two thousand students from 50 countries around the world.
There are over four million dollars in cash and scholarship prizes up for grabs.
Twelves says there are some fully funded four year scholarships to any American university worth 80 thousand dollars each among the prizes.
You may remember Megan Schlorff from last spring.
She won a Silver medal for her Science project, “Down the Drain, Only to Resurface Again” at another International competition held in Texas.
