Tories in Perth-Wellington and Sarnia-Lambton have been endorsed with strong pluralities.
It was almost no contest in both ridings, with the sitting MPs leading wire-to-wire in Monday’s vote.
Conservative Gary Schellenberger of Perth-Wellington returns to Parliament in an almost three-to-one decision over New Democrat Ellen Papenburg.
Bob McTavish of the Liberals finished third, followed by John Cowling of the Green Party and Irma de Vries of Christian Heritage.
And in Sarnia-Lambton, the margin of victory for Tory Pat Davidson is almost four-to-one over Brian White of the NDP.
White garnered almost double the number of votes over Liberal Tim Fugard, with the Green Party’s Tim van Bogedom finishing fourth and Christopher Desormeaux-Malm of Christian Heritage finishing fifth.
