For a fourtth Federal election, the voting public of Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound has returned Conservative MP Larry Miller.
Miller, who was first elected in 2004, won by a large margin in Monday’s Federal election with almost 29 thousand votes and 56.3 per cent support.
He will now be a part of a majority Conservative government after the Tories won 167 seats.
The win for Miller this year follows previous victories in 2006 and 2008.
Miller says he’s grateful to the constituents of Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound who showed their faith and support in Miller’s previous terms as their Federal representative.
Calling the 2011 campaign ” exceptionally clean “, Miller relates he owes a great deal to his family, friends and election supporters.
Going into the vote on Monday, Miller was confident about his potential of maintaining office, but had concerns about gains made by other parties on the National level.
Miller was most pleased by the defeat suffered by the Bloc-Quebecois, saying they have been ” be-headed ” and no longer exists as divisive party.
